The centre has always stressed on the training of Medical and Para-Medical studies in the field of Oncology, and is one of the 1st few centres to start DNB in Radiotherapy under National Board of Examination, New Delhi more than 2 decades back. Our institution was one of the 1st few centres in India to be recognized by National Board of Examination as a Super-specialty training centre in DNB Surgical Oncology since 2005. Different Para-Medical courses like DMLT (in Pathology), DRD (in Radiology), DRT (in Radiotherapy), DOTT (in Operation Theater) are also run here regularly. These courses are recognized by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal. Our trainees spend maximum numbers of hours for training and teaching activities such as case presentation in weekly CMEs and discussions, in-house seminars, ward rounds, interesting case discussions etc.

This institute has also recognition with Calcutta University for PhD programmes.

Our Medical Physics department is recognised by BARC & AERB for one year internship programme for newly qualified Medical Physicists.
